Wedding of Lucy and Mike 9th of July 2011

“Orange and Lemons peeled the bells of St Clements”

And the whole of our fabulous wedding  on 9th of July was decked in hot orange and citrus lemon colours.  The church flowers were glorious in bright fruit colours.

The couple chose bright and vibrant pew ends with big gerberas and tulle bows and pedestals with trailing variegated ivy foliage and seasonal blooms in yellow, lemons, golds and oranges. A pure spectacle very pleasing on the eye.  Happy and bright, just like our lovely couple from Bristol Mike and Lucy Burnett.

Mike and Lucy, met at their place of work in Bristol, and the rest is history.

Both families including grandparents managed our July heat and it was a hot day.

As always the sun was high and very hot.  And there was barely a breeze.

Our bride wore yet another beautiful bridal gown, in soft cream tulle, understand but extremely elegant, with soft ringlet of tulle which hung from the shoulder, very eye catching.  Lucy wore her hair in an Edwardian style, half up and the rest curled around her shoulders.  She looked beautiful.  Her dark complexion and striking dark nearly black hair was glossy and shinny in the sunshine.  She look like a goddess.

The guests dined on canopies and sangria and very chilled cava under the trees.

Then the bridal party moved into our top dining room.

The large reception room had been  decorated by our team and the  chairs had tulle swags in orange and alternative lemon, and the table centres were again in citrus tones, and our floral designer had cut slices of fresh oranges and slide them into the vases which were visible through the glass, and gave it that Mediterranean look

To  a wonderful happy couple, the team at Rebate hope that you have enjoyed your day with us and look forward to seeing all of the Burnett and Quck family again.

Love and happiness from Dawne, Bob, Eddie, Andrew, Andres, Claudia, Carlos and all of the team at Weddings in Rebate.

Thank you again for everything, we had the most amazing day last Saturday as did our guests. We can’t believe it was almost a week ago already!

We have seen the website today and it looks great. Thank you for the kind words and we love the pictures too.

We had such an amazing day, we have been to a few weddings since and although we are biased none of them even came close to ours at Rebate. It really is a very special place and you and the team were brilliant.

Next time we are over in Spain we shall definitely be going to Rebate for a nice meal. Hope to see you then.

The theme to our wedding on 4th July 2011 was an English garden our beautiful bride Sarah choose different shades of pinks and her dining tables looked stunning.

They dining chairs were decorated with cerise pink side swags, and Swarovski crystals were scattered across the table.  There were cream metal heart lanterns that were hung throughout the dining room and lit in the evening.

She arrived at Rebate at 4pm in the wedding car, and looked amazing.

Her soft cream wedding gown was encrusted with diamantes and she wore the most spectacular tiara to match.

The top men looked great with their embossed waistcoats with a pink embroidery thread and matching pink cravat ties.

There was a small bridesmaid Scarlet and William her cousin who carried matching teddies, but unfortunately when the bride made here entrance with her father at the top of the aisle, both children were fast asleep in their prams. Bless them!!

On 29th June Gary and Sue Fellows had their wedding ceremony in our little church.

The theme of the wedding was classic black and white.

Sue look fabulous in her soft tulle wedding dress, and she wore a beautiful diamante tiara. She looked radiant.

Gary wore a dark grey suit and look extremely smart.

The ceremony was performed by out resident minister Rev. Eddie Martens, who conducted a meaningful and slightly humorous wedding service.

The couple left the church to glorious sunshine, where photos were taken and the guests showered the couple with cones of fresh rose petal confetti.

The canapés and cava were served up on our top terrace, and the sound of the water rippling from the fountain could be heard, and the song brids were in full voice.  A magnificent setting and a wonderful afternoon.

The dining room looked amazing decorated with a vintage theme, all the chairs were adorned with black tulle swags and the table setting were in black and white, very stylish

Gary being a keen golfer had decided to have each table named after a famous golf club.  ”Wentworth, St Andrews”ete etc.

Thank you very much Gary and Sue for being a Rebate couple of 2011.

    Jo and Dawn

Every year at Rebate we have one Wedding that stands out from the rest.

And this year it has been the wedding of our two girls Jo-Ann and Dawn Sefton.

The attention to details was the very finest, and  the special touches which the wedding team in rebate put in place for the girls were spectacular.

Outside of the church were two Topiary trees, which stood in pots.

On the trees hung name tags of their family members and friends who had passed away and were not there to spend the special day with the girls.

Each chair in the church had it own handmade name place all finished with beautiful diamantes crystals.

Each pew was decorated, with roses and lilies. There were massive modern glass vases filled with flowers either side of the altar.

The altar had large silver candlesticks and candelabras, with vanilla scented candles.

    The church looked magnificent.

Our celebrant Malcolm conducted a very moving ceremony, and not a dry eye was to be seen in the church.

They  wore cream trousers suits, and  both girls were adorned with diamonds.

They had beautiful wrist corsages, and their fathers had matching boutonnieres.

Their wedding band were white gold and encrusted with diamonds.  Lucky ladies!!

The dining room was decorated with tall elegant table centres in greens and ivory, with matching table stationery.  White Swarovski crystals were scattered across all of the tables.   And the whole of our top dining room look amazingly glamorous

Each guest had their own menu and on the reverse of the card, the girls had left a personal message for each of their guests.  All very meaningful and very special.

The evening carried on and the girls and guests boogie all night on the outside terrace, where the Moroccan Lanterns were lit to set the evenings ambience.

Dawn and Jo-Ann, you have been a very special couple to work with.

We have enjoyed ever minute helping you design, create and arrange you special day here at Rebate church and restaurant.

We hope that you both have a marvelous honeymoon, and chill and enjoy your time together.

From all of the wedding team at Rebate, Dawne, Bob, Andrew, Malcolm, Andreas, Eric and Carlos.

Thanks for being one of our 2011 couples. You have both been a delight to work with, and we hope that we have all served you well and  made your special day here on 26th June 2011 everything you wanted

Well were home, finally…We got home in the early hours on thursday and I was at work 0645 that same morning and the wife followed me a couple of hours later…

We have both just sat down to do this e-mail as we again have never stopped since getting home..

Peckforton Castle cancelled us on friday so we have spent yesterday and today sorting a new venue out which is now done thank god…

We both can’t thank you enough for how our wedding went and how special it was to us and also all our guests…We caught up with most of them last night at Elliots 21st
party and it was luvli listening to what they had to say about the day…Everyone said its the best wedding they have ever been to. My mum keeps telling people its was like
a wedding out of the OK and Hello magazines, others said they felt they were on a movie set or that they were at Posh and Becks wedding but without them 2 being there.

Thank you also for the very touching message you put to us on the blog site, we both cried when we saw it and so have many of others who have seen it since.

We both can’t now wait to see the photo’s,. so if you can tell us what to do as Andrew said we needed 3 songs for him which we have choosen but unsure what to do next.

The honeymoon was fantastic and just kept getting better everytime we moved places…The villa in Quesada was brilliant for partying with all the guests and we had some fantastic memories with all there but after 9 days we were ready to move on and be alone together. The next stop was Palma which was a major surprise to us both and just our city cup of tea with fantastic quaint bars and restraunts(a couple of gay ones) and brill nightlife, so much so that we are going back next year. The cruise was brill and we couldn’t fault a thing, its not the most fancy one I’ve done but value for money, entertainment, food and of course drinks it was fantastic. Dawn was made up to see Strongbow on draft which also made us laugh on the last night after the bar bill arrived and between us we had signed for 195 alcholic drinks in a week..ha ha..so obviously with all the food and drink in that week we found some of the weight we lost prior to the wedding..ha ha..

Our final stop was in a La Finca in Majorca called Son Forbo which was like we had arrived at the gates of heaven after all the partying we had done in Quesada, Palma and the cruise…We just crashed for a couple of days there but then we did a couple of full days touring all the none major tourist places which were fantastic. We went up into the mountains and dawn did some cliff hanging driving which we will never forget for the thril, sights and laughing threw nerves…All the evening we returned to the finca and had a lavish bbq by the pool with bottles of champagne which was just heaven…

Every single bit of the whole experience has been so, so memoriable to us and will always remain very special to us both and we can’t thank and praise you enough in helping us have that experience.

Love and best wishes to you both,

    Dawn & Jo Sefton-Kay x

    carrie and dean

Saturday 11th June 2011 was an extremely busy day for the Wedding team at Rebate.

At 6.30pm the wedding of Carrie and Dean from Pilar de Horadada was held.

Carrie our bride looked amazing with a soft cream wedding dress and veil.  With her beautiful face, long blonde hair  and slender figure she looked stunning.

She carried a bouquet of white peonies and white roses, and she looked like an angel in the sunshine.

Dean wore white linen trousers and shirt.

The church was adorned with flowers in ivory and gold and smelt heavenly.

The bride walked down the aisle to Lionel Richie “stuck on you”

The service was performed by Reverend Eddie Martens, which was special and meaningful.

Carries father played the guitar up by the altar for his daughter and herhusband, and there were a few tears to be seen running down the guests cheeks

They left the church for the top dining room and enjoyed canapés and cava outside on the terrace .

The tribute band “Showaddy “ played to the small hours of the morning, and the guests and bridal party, boogie all night long.

We wish you a very happy future.
